“Blossom Queen” is a fast growing, NZ native shrub that produces stunning flowers. Double, pink flowers are borne in such proliferation they coat the plant through summer and autumn. They sit neatly amongst the fine and aromatic, dark green foliage which has dark red undertones. This evergreen typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and new growth can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site, though will tolerate extended dry periods, heavy soils, frost, cool climates, and light shade. “Blossom Queen” is commonly included in a mixed planting, used for screening and shelter, planted as backdrop for smaller plants, grown to attract native fauna, or trimmed into a hedge. The fine foliage and floriferous nature makes this shrub a fine addition to any garden.
