Lavender Violet Blue is a lovely and popular variety of Lavender. It grows as a compact shrub and carries masses of short, violet-blue flower spikes from spring through summer. The foliage is green with a touch of grey and complements the flowers nicely as it grows to 70 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Lavender Violet Blue is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited to mass planting on a bank or using as a groundcover and in both instances will produce an outstanding display.

Violet Blue Lavender

The Violet Blue Lavender is a lovely and popular variety and carries masses of short, violet-blue flower spikes from spring through summer. The foliage is green with a touch of grey and complements the flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen typically grows to 70 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry conditions but does require protection from heavy frosts, particularly when young. The Violet Blue Lavender is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited to mass planting on a bank or using as a groundcover and in both instances will produce an outstanding display.
