Lavender 'True Blue'

How to grow Lavender 'True Blue' in NZ

Lavender 'True Blue' thrives in full sun and free draining soil for strong flowering and lasting garden performance. Select a warm position receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid heavy or waterlogged soils, as lavender prefers open, dry conditions. Water consistently during establishment, then reduce to occasional deep soakings. It performs reliably in both coastal and inland regions across New Zealand.

Lavender 'True Blue' care tips

Caring for Lavender 'True Blue' is simple and low maintenance. Trim lightly after flowering to keep a tidy shape and encourage fresh new growth. Avoid cutting into older woody stems, as lavender reshoots best from younger wood. Once mature, water sparingly and avoid excessive fertiliser. A small application of slow release fertiliser in spring supports strong blooming each season.
