“Meerlo” is a variety of Lavender features both colourful flowers and foliage. Masses of fragrant, blue flowers spikes adorn the plant during summer. The foliage is variegated cream and grey-green, and serves as a lovely backdrop to the flowers. Together the flowers and foliage produce a spectacular display and release a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy and will tolerate dry periods and frost but should be protected while it establishes. This Lavender is often used in cottage gardens, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, trimmed into a low hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. Space plants 25 cm apart for hedging.
