Lavender 'Lavish Blue'

How to grow Lavender 'Lavish Blue' in NZ

Lavender 'Lavish Blue' thrives in full sun and free draining soil to support strong flowering. Choose a warm position that receives at least six hours of sunlight daily. Avoid waterlogged soil, as lavender prefers dry, open conditions. Water young plants regularly until established, then reduce watering to occasional deep soakings during dry spells. It suits both coastal and inland New Zealand gardens, performing well in a wide range of climates.

Lavender 'Lavish Blue' care tips

Caring for Lavender 'Lavish Blue' is simple and rewarding. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain a rounded shape and encourage new growth. Avoid cutting back into old wood, as lavender reshoots best from younger stems. Water sparingly once established, particularly in cooler months. Apply a small amount of slow release fertiliser in spring to support seasonal flowering without overstimulating soft growth.
