Lavandula Javelin is a variety of Lavender that carries masses of purple flowers from spring through autumn. The foliage is dark green and complements the flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 70 cm tall and 45 cm wide, though is usually kept smaller with trimming in summer. It performs best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry conditions but does require protection from heavy frost when young. Lavandula Javelin is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, or grown in a container.
