“Foveaux Storm” is a variety of Lavender that grows as a compact shrub and carries masses of short, blue-purple flower spikes through spring and summer. The foliage is green-grey and complements the darker flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy and will tolerate dry periods and moderate frost once established. “Foveaux Storm” is often used in cottage gardens, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited to mass planting on a bank or using as a groundcover and in both cases produces a stunning display.
