“Blue Mountain White” is one of the more popular English Lavender varieties due to its versatility and impressive aesthetics. This compact shrub carries masses of long, white flower spikes through summer. The foliage is bright green and complements the flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry periods and frost once established. “Blue Mountain White” is often used in cottage gardens, added to mixed plantings and borders, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It looks amazing when mass planted on a bank or the like. Plant 30 cm apart for hedging or when used as a border.
