“Blue Mountain” is one of the more popular Lavender varieties due to its versatility and impressive aesthetics. This compact shrub features showy, blue-purple flower spikes through summer. The foliage is green-grey and serves as a lovely backdrop to the flowers. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy and will tolerate dry periods and frost once established. “Blue Mountain” is often used in cottage gardens, added to a mixed planting, included in borders, or grown in a container.
