Lavender Grosso

Lavender Grosso grows compactly and carries masses of long, dark blue flower spikes through spring and summer. The foliage is green with a touch of grey and complements the flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 75 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry conditions but does require protection from heavy frosts, particularly when young. Lavender Grosso is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, trimmed into a low hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited to mass planting on a bank or using as a groundcover and in both cases produces a stunning display.
