This variety of Lavender features masses of blue flowers spikes through summer. The foliage is grey-blue and serves as a lovely backdrop to the flowers. Together the flowers and foliage produce a spectacular display and release a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy and will tolerate dry periods and frost but should be protected while it is establishing. This Lavender is often used in cottage gardens, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, trimmed into a low hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. Space plants 60 cm apart for hedging.
