Lagerstroemia Petite Snow, commonly known as Crape Myrtle, is a deciduous shrub grown for its clusters of snow white, crepe-like flowers in summer. The showy blooms literally coat the plant and are complemented with glossy, dark green leaves. The foliage emerges light green in spring with a tinge of red, matures to dark green, then develops yellow, orange, and red tones in autumn before falling. It grows with an open habit to about 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and cool climates. Lagerstroemia indica Petite Snow is often added to a mixed planting, grown as a hedge, maintained in a container, or included in a “white” garden. This is a lovely plant that will bring a lot of pleasure.
