Kalmia Carousel

Mountain Laurel

“Carousel” is a variety of the commonly known, Mountain Laurel, and is grown for its spectacular flowering. Through summer it produces masses of showy, single, white and burgundy red flowers. These are produced in clusters above the glossy, mid-green foliage and the combination is very aesthetic. It grows as a rounded shrub to about 1 m tall and the same wide, preferring a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of moderate frost once established. “Carousel” is commonly included in a mixed planting, included in cottage gardens, maintained in a container, used in pool gardens, or planted anywhere the spectacular flowers can be appreciated.
