Indigofera decora
Indigofera decora is a dense, evergreen shrub which is grown for its lovely flowers. It produces pendulous spikes of pink-purple, pea like flowers during spring and summer. The foliage comprises mid-green leaflets which provide a pleasant backdrop to the flowers. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a sheltered, well-drained site. It will tolerate light frost only. Indigofera decora is commonly included in mixed plantings, cottage gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas. It is great for providing a “fresh” look to the garden.
