Hypericum perforatum, commonly called St. Johns Wort, is a shrub grown for its attractive foliage and flowers. It carries mid green leaves which become adorned with yellow flowers during spring and summer as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Hypericum perforatum is commonly added to a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, included in cottage gardens, grown as an informal or formal hedge, or mass planted on a bank.
