Hypericum Hidcote is a shrub grown for its masses of flowers through summer. The interesting flowers are yellow, waxy, and saucer shaped. It carries smooth, rich green leaves which provide a lovely complement to the flowers. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry, coastal environments, and moderate frost, though young plants should be protected while they establish. Hypericum Hidcote is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or added to tropical and cottage gardens. A mass planting looks fantastic, especially when used either as a groundcover or mass planted on a bank.
