Hydrangea ‘Todi’ is a variety that features large flower heads which are either pink when grown on acid soils or lilac blue on alkaline soils. These are borne from summer through autumn and sit nicely with the dark green foliage. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form to about 1 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best growth is achieved in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. This Hydrangea is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. ‘Todi’ is a great variety for adding to a mixed planting, maintaining in a container, including in a cottage garden, or for planting around an outdoor living area.
