Hydrangea ‘Pia’ is a lovely variety that features large and showy, pink flower heads. These are borne from spring through summer and sit neatly above the dark green foliage. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a rounded form to about 70 cm tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best growth is achieved in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. This Hydrangea is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. ‘Pia’ is a great variety for adding to a mixed planting, maintaining in a container, including in a cottage garden, or for planting around an outdoor living area.
