‘Madame Plumecoq’ is an exquisite Hydrangea variety that features masses of large and showy, light pink flower heads through summer and autumn. The flowers sit perfectly above the dark green foliage. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a rounded form to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best growth is achieved in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. This Hydrangea is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. ‘Mariesii Plumecoq’ is a great variety for mixed plantings, underplanting larger trees, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, planting as a backdrop for smaller plants, or using to contrast with other leaf forms and flower colours.
