Hydrangea 'Little Lime' Key Features

‘Little Lime’ is loved for its bold yet compact form, growing to around 1–1.2 metres tall and wide. It produces abundant conical flower clusters in a striking lime-green shade that gradually mature to blush pink, adding season-long interest. Its sturdy stems prevent flopping, and it holds up well in rain and wind. This variety is cold-hardy, floriferous, and suited to formal or informal garden settings. It also works well as a foundation plant or in mass plantings, providing structure and vibrant colour from mid-summer through autumn.

Hydrangea 'Little Lime' Care Guide

Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained, fertile soil. ‘Little Lime’ is more sun-tolerant than many other hydrangeas but still appreciates protection from the harshest afternoon rays in hotter regions. Water regularly during dry periods, especially in its first growing season. Prune in late winter or early spring by cutting back old stems to promote fresh, vigorous flowering growth. Feed annually with a general-purpose fertiliser in spring. Its flowers are not pH-sensitive, so the colour will remain consistent regardless of soil acidity.
