‘Le Cygne’ is a lovely Hydrangea variety that features large, pure white flower heads from summer through autumn. These are contrasted with large and lush, dark green leaves that sit perfectly with the flowers. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a rounded form to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best growth is achieved in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. This Hydrangea is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. ‘Le Cygne’ is a great variety for including in a mixed planting, planting around the base of larger trees, adding to cottage or “white” gardens, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, or planting around outdoor living areas.
