Hydrangea ‘Geoffrey Chadbund’ is a lacecap variety of Hydrangea that features large flower heads made up of mauve-purple flowers surrounding similarly coloured florets. These are produced through summer and autumn and are complemented with large and lush green leaves. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded shape to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. It is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. Hydrangea ‘Geoffrey Chadbund’ is a great variety for including in a mixed planting, planting around the base of larger trees, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, or planting around outdoor living areas.
