Hydrangea ‘Fireworks’ is a lacecap variety of Hydrangea that features large flower heads made up of white flowers surrounding blue florets. These are produced from summer through autumn and are complemented with large, green leaves that sit perfectly with the flowers. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a rounded form to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site with a slightly acidic soil. It is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. Hydrangea ‘Fireworks’ is a great variety for including in a mixed planting, planting around the base of larger trees, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, or planting around outdoor living areas.
