Hydrangea ‘Adria’ features balls of showy flowers from summer through autumn. On alkaline soils the flowers will be bright pink and on acid soils they are sky blue. These are complemented with large and lush, dark green leaves. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. Hydrangea ‘Adria’ is a great variety for including in a mixed planting, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, using as a backdrop for smaller plants, or planting around outdoor living areas.
