They are held on upright, slender branches above the glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide and performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. This Rose Of Sharon variety is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as moderate frost. In cool climates it may become deciduous or partially deciduous during winter.
