“Snowdrift” is a variety of Hibiscus grown for its showy, white flowers. The impressive blooms are produced through summer and autumn, and are contrasted wonderfully with the lush and glossy, dark green leaves. This evergreen typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost but should be protected while it is establishing. “Snowdrift” is commonly grown as a showy specimen, trimmed into a hedge, planted as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in a tropical or “white” garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
