“Ruby Tuesday” is a variety of Hibiscus grown for its large and showy, single flowers. The flowers are an impressive pink and provide for an outstanding display. They appear through summer and autumn on upright, slender branches. The foliage on this shrub comprises glossy green leaves and it typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Best performance with this plant is achieved when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost. “Ruby Tuesday” is commonly used as a showy specimen, for hedging or screening, in mixed plantings, grown in a container, included in a tropical garden, or planted around the barbecue area.
