This variety of Hibiscus is grown for its showy, bright red flowers and lush foliage. The stunning blooms are borne constantly through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches. The branches also host glossy, mid-green leaves which complement the flowers nicely. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and short periods of dry. This Hibiscus is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
