Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is grown for its showy, bright red flowers and lush foliage. The stunning blooms are borne constantly through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches. The branches also host glossy, mid-green leaves which complement the flowers nicely. It is tolerant of moderate frost and short periods of dry.
