Old Frankie Hibiscus

The Old Frankie Hibiscus is grown for its showy flowers. The large and single, bright pink flowers have a papery appearance, and are produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches which also hosts glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as only very light frost once established. In cool climates it may become partially deciduous during winter. The Old Frankie Hibiscus is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
