Hibiscus “Molly Cummings” is grown for its large and showy flowers. The ruffled flowers are dark red, and produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches. The lush, green foliage provides a pleasant back drop and additional interest to this plant. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as only very light frost once established. In cool climates it may become partially deciduous during winter. "Molly Cummings" is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
