Lady Ferguson Hibiscus

The Lady Ferguson Hibiscus is grown for its large and showy flowers. The flowers are butter yellow, frilly, and have a white centre. They are borne through summer and autumn on upright, slender branches which also host glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as moderate frost. In cool climates it may become deciduous or partially deciduous during winter. The Lady Ferguson Hibiscus is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
