Hibiscus El Capitolio is grown for its unusual, double flowers which are apricot-orange with a dark red centre and have a papery texture. They are produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches which also host glossy green leaves as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Hibiscus El Capitolio is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.

El Capitoilo Hibiscus

The El Capitolio Hibiscus is grown for its unusual, double flowers. The ruffled flowers are apricot-orange with a dark red centre and have a papery texture. They are produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches which also host glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as moderate frost once established. In cool climates it may become deciduous or partially deciduous during winter. The El Capitolio Hibiscus is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
