Heliotrope Marine is grown for its lovely flowers and rich foliage. The dark green leaves are oval, wrinkled, and tinged with purple. In summer, masses of fragrant, large and showy, violet-blue flowers are borne which are great for attracting butterflies. The display with the foliage is incredibly beautiful. It typically grows to 25 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site.
