“Laguna Beach” is a variety of Hebe grown for its form, foliage, and flowers. The lush foliage is a glossy, dark green, and serves as a stunning backdrop to the flowers. Clusters of showy pink and white flowers are borne during summer, providing a spectacular display. This NZ native grows as a bushy, evergreen shrub to about 60 cm tall and 50 cm wide, growing best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is hardy to moderate frost, coastal environments, and short periods of dry. “Laguna Beach” is a versatile plant that is often used in mixed and border plantings, planted around outdoor living areas, included in rock gardens, maintained in a container, or mass planted on a bank or as a groundcover.
