The foliage comprises narrow, spear-shaped, green leaves that are adorned with clusters of small, white flowers in summer. Hebe gracillima is ideal for including in mixed plantings, using in revegetation exercises, mass planting on a bank, or planting to attract wildlife.

The most important part of caring for Hebe gracillima is to ensure they have well-drained soil that does not become waterlogged at any time. This, along with overwatering, is the primary cause of plants failing to thrive or dying. The plants can be lightly trimmed any time, but this is best undertaken in summer.
