The leaves are glossy green and held densely on slender stems, which become adorned with masses of small, white flowers during spring and summer. Hebe decumbens looks most effective when planted in groups. It is also commonly included in mixed plantings, borders, or planted around the base of larger trees.

The most important part of caring for Hebe decumbens is to ensure they have well-drained soil that does not become waterlogged at any time.
