The new leaves emerge with purple-red tones and age to become olive-green, complemented by masses of white flowers with cream overtones in late summer. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. Hebe anomala 'Purpurea' is commonly included in mixed plantings, where its texture makes a lovely addition to the landscape. It is also well-suited for growing in a pot, around outdoor living areas, or for border plantings.
