Hebe allanii is a low-growing, NZ native, evergreen shrub, reaching just 25 cm tall and the same wide. The leaves are dark green, have a red margin, and are held densely on short stems. The foliage is complemented during summer with spikes of white flowers. Hebe allanii is best planted in clusters and is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or added to a cottage garden. It is also well suited to being mass planted on a bank or the like.
