Halimium lasianthum, commonly known as the Woolly Rock Rose, is an evergreen shrub grown for its pretty, yellow flowers. The colourful flowers are produced from spring through summer, and are complemented with woolly, green-grey foliage as it grows to 50 cm tall and 1 m wide. Halimium lasianthum is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, maintained in a container, planted around pool and other outdoor living areas, or included in a cottage garden.

Halimium lasianthum Details

Halimium lasianthum, commonly known as the Woolly Rock Rose, is an evergreen shrub grown for its pretty, yellow flowers. The colourful flowers are produced from spring through summer, and are complemented with woolly, green-grey foliage. It is a low growing plant and will typically reach 50 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun. It will tolerate coastal environments and moderate frost, but should be protected when young. Halimium lasianthum is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, maintained in a container, planted around pool and other outdoor living areas, or included in a cottage garden. A mass planting on a bank or the like will produce an amazing display.
