The flowers are produced from spring through summer and are great for attracting nectar feeding birds. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, coastal conditions, and will cope with mild frost.
