Grevillea 'Lemon Daze'

How to grow Grevillea 'Lemon Daze' in NZ

Plant Grevillea 'Lemon Daze' in full sun and well-drained soil for best results. Avoid planting in heavy clay soils unless improved with compost and sand. This variety is drought-tolerant once established and thrives in coastal conditions. Water regularly while establishing, then only during extended dry periods. Best planted in spring or autumn to allow roots to settle before summer or winter extremes.

Grevillea 'Lemon Daze' care tips

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a tidy shape and encourage new growth. Feed with a low-phosphorus fertiliser suitable for native plants in early spring and mid-summer. Grevilleas prefer not to be overwatered, so allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Mulching will help retain soil moisture and keep roots cool in summer.
