Grevillea Bonnie Prince Charlie, commonly known as Spider Flower, is a colourful and compact shrub grown for its spreading habit and unusual flowers. The waxy, red and yellow flowers are produced from spring through autumn and are great for attracting nectar feeding birds. The flowers are nestled amidst the olive-green foliage. It grows with a somewhat open habit to about 60 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is frost hardy and tolerant of both dry periods and coastal environments. Grevillea Bonnie Prince Charlie is commonly included in mixed and border plantings, used in cottage and Mediterranean gardens, grown around pool and other living areas, or mass planted as a groundcover on a bank or the like.
