Gardenia 'Veitchii' Details

Gardenia jasminoides ‘Veitchii’ is highly prized for its masses of fragrant blooms and lovely foliage. It grows as a tidy, rounded plant made up of glossy, dark green, rounded leaves. It bears very showy and sweetly fragrant, white flowers through spring and summer. The flowers and foliage contrast beautifully. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost only and requires shelter from wind. Gardenia ‘Veitchii’ puts on the best displays when mass planted but is also effective for planting around larger plants, adding to a mixed planting, growing in a container, planting around outdoor living areas, for ‘tropical’ gardens, or adding to “white” gardens. Gardenias are a favourite among gardeners for both their versatility and impressive aesthetics.
