Gardenia jasminoides ‘Four Seasons’, commonly known as Cape Jasmine, is a beautiful, evergreen shrub with fantastic flowers. This plant is popular because of its exquisite, perfumed, medium sized, white blooms which are produced en masse from spring through autumn. The flowers contrast perfectly with the glossy, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 75 cm tall and 1 m wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost only. Gardenia ‘Four Seasons’ is a versatile plant that looks most impressive when mass planted or grown as an informal hedge. It is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, included in tropical or “white” gardens, or maintained in a container.
