“Carn Brea” is a variety of fuchsia favoured for its exquisite flowers. It becomes smothered in showy, double flowers which are light pink with red sepals from late spring until autumn. They are complemented with lush, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate light frost once established and should not be allowed to dry out during summer. Plants are typically evergreen, but may be deciduous in cooler climates. “Carn Brea” is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown around outdoor living areas, added to a cottage garden, maintained in a container, or planted around the base of trees and shrubs. This is a low maintenance and truly rewarding plant.
