Fuchsia bacillaris grows as an erect and spreading bush with amazing flowers. Clusters of small and pendulous, pink and white, trumpet-shaped flowers are borne amidst the foliage through summer. These exquisite flowers are held neatly against the green foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and about 75 cm wide and will be evergreen in warmer climates and deciduous in cooler ones. Best performance is achieved when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate a light frost only. Fuchsia bacillaris is commonly included in mixed plantings, grown in a container, or planted around the base of large trees. This is a low maintenance and truly rewarding plant.
