Fargesia nitida, commonly known as Fountain Bamboo, is a bamboo grown for its weeping foliage that hangs around the narrow canes like a fountain. The fine foliage is mid-green and held deftly on the slender stems as it grows to 3 m tall and 80 cm wide. Fargesia nitida is commonly grown as a specimen, planted as a screen, included in mixed plantings, grown as an informal hedge, maintained in a container, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
