Escallonia Red Dream is a smaller variety grown for both its attractive foliage and quaint flowers. Glossy, green leaves give way to clusters of small, red flowers through spring and summer. Best performance with this evergreen is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site though it is hardy to moderate frost, some wind, and coastal conditions.
