Escallonia ‘Pink Pixie’ is renowned for both its attractive foliage and quaint flowers. Glossy, green leaves give way to clusters of pale pink-white flowers through spring and summer. It is an easily grown shrub with a bushy habit and typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Best performance is achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site though it is hardy to frost, wind, and coastal conditions. In NZ gardens Escallonia ‘Pink Pixie’ is commonly included in mixed plantings or trimmed into a hedge with plants spaced 50 cm apart. A mass planting produces a stunning display.
