Alice Escallonia

The Alice Escallonia is renowned for both its attractive foliage and quaint flowers. Glossy, green leaves give way to clusters of pink and white coloured flowers through spring and summer. It is an easily grown shrub with a bushy habit and typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Best performance with this evergreen in NZ is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site though it is hardy to moderate frost, some wind, and coastal conditions. The Alice Escallonia is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, used in cottage gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas.
